Risk Warning
Before you place a trade, please take a few minutes to read this. It describes in everyday language the main ways you could lose money on Fundorra. This is not boilerplate, and the list below is not complete.
Losses can equal your whole stake
All of our products can lose money. If a fixed-duration contract ends against you, the full amount you staked is gone. Leverage and margin raise the stakes further: the more gearing you use, the bigger the potential loss, which may outgrow your initial deposit. Never trade with funds you would struggle to live without.
Nobody can predict the markets
Currencies, metals, energy, shares and cryptocurrencies all react to central bank decisions, inflation reports, political events, new regulations, shifts in liquidity and changes in mood. These things happen suddenly and can send prices sharply up or down in seconds. How an asset, strategy or trading algorithm did in the past says nothing reliable about how it will do next.
Crypto is extra volatile
Cryptocurrency markets run 24 hours a day, have less liquidity than the largest currency markets, and can jump violently on news or a single big trade. One country's regulatory decision can change a coin's price everywhere within hours, so keep your position sizes modest.
Short durations make it harder
The outcome of a fixed-duration Higher/Lower contract depends on the price at a single point in time. Over short periods prices move mostly at random, which makes analysis of little use, and trading more often adds to both your risk and your fees. It is rare for anyone to make consistent profits this way.
Leverage works against you too
Leverage increases your profits and your losses by the same amount. Even a minor tick in price can be enough to erase a geared position entirely. If your margin falls below what is required, your positions may be closed automatically at the current market price — possibly far from the price you were expecting.
Technology can fail
Poor internet connections, broken devices, exchange outages, missing price data and planned maintenance can all stop you from opening or closing a trade at the exact moment you want. Assume this can happen, and trade accordingly.
Currency conversion and transfer delays
When your account currency differs from the currency an asset is priced in, changes in the exchange rate will affect your profit or loss on top of the trade itself. Crypto transfers also depend on the network: confirmation times and fees go up and down with traffic.
We don't give advice or guarantees
Prices, charts, strategy descriptions, analysis and messages from our support team are information, not investment advice or recommendations. No Fundorra product — automated strategies included — guarantees or promises any return, and any expected range mentioned for a strategy is only an estimate. The law where you live
Rules and taxes for these products vary by country and can change. You must check that you are legally allowed to trade them where you live, and you are responsible for paying any taxes due.
